DeLonghi Dinamica Plus Review Overview
Released in late 2021, the DeLonghi Dinamica Plus quickly started garnering rave reviews in the United States. It’s easy to see why – the original Dinamica performed admirably, but just felt kind of old fashioned and clunky.
In the meantime, Jura was releasing seriously beautiful and high-performing machines in quick succession.
With that said, not everyone can afford a Jura coffee machine. So, with a price tag of $1,378.34, the DeLonghi Dinamica Plus brought Jura-esque features to the mid-range price segment.
For starters, the Dinamica Plus features a lovely color touchscreen display. What’s more, the machine is equipped with DeLonghi’s wonderful LatteCrema automatic milk system. Rather than having a bunch of hoses and an external container, this elegant integrated frother just clips onto the front of the machine.
Heck, the DeLonghi Dinamica Plus even has an iced coffee function. You only get that elsewhere with the Jura Z10, which costs a whole lot more.
I’ll talk more about how the machine performs later in this DeLonghi Dinamica Plus review. Suffice to say the espresso and milk foam you’ll get from this thing are really high quality.
If you haven’t checked it out yet, be sure to take a look at Brad Pitt’s DeLonghi ambassador video. In it, you’ll quickly see how he has taken advantage of the personalized user profiles to save his preferences for brewing the perfect cappuccino on a Dinamica Plus.
First Impressions
While I’ve always been clear about how much I like DeLonghi espresso machines, I’ve never exactly gushed about how they look. In fact, I pretty much trashed the aesthetics of the DeLonghi Dinamica.
However, I will say that the DeLonghi design department stepped it up for the Dinamica Plus. I feel like I can almost describe it as sleek and streamlined, although there’s still a distinctly utilitarian vibe going on.
Listen, I understand that many of you won’t care a bit what the thing looks like. You just want to know if it makes great coffee. However, I’m of the opinion that if an espresso machine can look good and perform well then all the better.
As always with DeLonghi, there’s altogether too much plastic in the machine’s construction. Still, I understand that keeps costs down. Anyway, the Dinamica Plus feels sturdy and well-made, so I think it’ll stand the test of time.
All in all, my first impressions of the machine are very favorable. Plus, this super automatic is comparatively compact, so it’s not going to totally dominate your kitchen.
DeLonghi Dinamica Plus Variations
Regular Coffeeness readers will know all too well how frustrated I get by DeLonghi’s insistence on pumping out seemingly endless variations of its machines. The Dinamica Plus is no exception, so I’ll do my best to clear things up before going any further.
In today’s review I’ll be focusing on the 370.95.TI model, which is only available in North America. It’s pretty much the top-of-the-line version of the machine, and includes an iced coffee function, user profiles and the Coffee Link app functionality.
You’ll notice that some of my photos are of the 370.70.B model, which I also had the pleasure of testing out. That particular machine is available to European consumers, but lacks the advanced features mentioned above.
To make things more complicated (which the Italian manufacturer loves to do), there’s also the 370.85.SB version, which is also only available in Europe. It’s somewhere in the middle, with app functionality but no iced coffee or user profiles.
OK! Now that I’ve got all that out of the way, let’s get back to my DeLonghi Dinamica Plus review!
DeLonghi Magnifica Evo vs Dinamica (Classic Frother Version)
- De’Longhi Magnifica Evo, Fully Automatic Machine Bean to Cup Espresso Cappuccino and Iced Coffee Maker, Colored Touch Display, Black, Silver
- 6 One-Touch Recipes with Color Icons: Espresso, Coffee, Americano, Iced Coffee, Long, Steam
- Built-in Conical Burr Grinder with 13 settings
- Traditional milk frother to easily prepare perfectly textured foam with milk and milk alternatives
- Removable and dishwasher-safe parts for easy cleaning
- De’Longhi America Dinamica Fully Automatic Coffee and Espresso Machine with Premium Adjustable Frother, Stainless Steel, ECAM35025SB
- cafe-quality beverages like espresso, long espresso, drip style coffee, and even iced coffee at the push of a button.
- Customize the size & strength of every cup with our automatic, touch-sensitive interface.
- With an integrated manual frother, enjoy your cafe favorites like lattes and cappuccinos with rich, creamy foam.
The classic versions of these coffee machines are nearly identical, with very small differences.
Coffee Strength
The Magnifica Evo offers three coffee-strength selections, while the Dinamica has five coffee-strength selections.
Bean Hopper Capacity
While both models share the same conical burr grinder, there’s a difference in the hopper capacity:
- Magnifica Evo has an 8.8 oz capacity
- Dinamica has a 10.5 oz capacity
Coffee Drink Menu
Both machines offer similar presets on the classic frother version. Because frothing is manual, you only get presets for black coffees:
- Magnifica Evo has Espresso, Lungo, Coffee, Americano and Over Ice.
- Dinamica has espresso, Lungo, Coffee, and Over Ice.
So the Magnifica Evo has the option for Americano that the Dinamica does not have.
What’s the difference between Americano and Coffee?
Americano is prepared by brewing a shot of espresso and then adding hot water to it. While coffee is prepared without the addition of water. The machines will actually lower the brewing pressure for a slower, drip-style cup of coffee.
How The Over Ice Option Works
This is a stable selection in DeLonghi super auto machines. What it does is lower the temperature of the coffee brew and make it stronger. This way, when it mixes with ice, it does not taste diluted and weak.
Note that the coffee still comes out hot, just not as hot as regular coffee brews.
Control Panels
Magnifica Evo Classic menu
Magnifica Evo uses nice, touch buttons with colored icons for each coffee drink. It almost looks like a colored display, but it’s not.
Dinamica Classic frother menu
Dinamica, on the other hand, uses illuminated touch buttons. The icons can get a little confusing because they are not labeled with the name of the coffee drink. But it’s easy to use, overall.
Steaming Milk
Both models share the same steam wand style. It is operated manually, so you have to start and stop it once you have reached your desired milk consistency.
None of them include a milk frothing jug, so you’ll have to buy that separately.
Programmability
Both Magnifica Evo and Dinamica allow you to reprogram the volume of the coffee output. It’s as easy as long-pressing the button of the coffee selection until you’ve reached the desired volume. Now that button will save the new volume setting.
However, none of them have the ability to save a recipe. And it’s due to the fact that there are no milk-based coffee drink presets, so it’s understandable.
Which One To Pick?
When it comes to the classic frother version, I highly recommend the Magnifica Evo over the Dinamica.
Being the newer model, Magnifica Evo has a much better design, a more intuitive control panel, and is less confusing because each coffee drink is labeled with an icon and a name.
Even though the Dinamica has a slightly larger bean hopper capacity and two extra strength settings, these won’t make a lot of difference to your everyday experience.

Delonghi Magnifica Overview
The Delonghi Magnifica is the perfect machine for an espresso purist. Some consider this espresso machine outdated but it still lives up to its name from its superb brewing quality. There aren’t many extra features to the Delonghi Magnifica but it has a basic level of programmability and has super brewing quality. The best thing about this machine is its affordability as this machine ranges under $700.
Pros
Budget friendly: When it comes to affordability, the Delonghi Magnifica is definitely in the budget-friendly range. It is well under $1000 for a super automatic espresso machine which is great for someone who looks at affordability.
Excellent brewing quality: When you buy a Delonghi, you’re always going to get a great shot of espresso. So if brewing quality is all that matters for you then consider the Delonghi Magnifica as its perfect for the espresso purist.
Easy to use, clean, and maintain: The Delonghi Magnifica is built to last you for years which is why this machine is so popular. It’s really simple to operate and descale which means you can use it for a really long time before it gives in.
Cons
Overall design needs to be improved: The Delonghi Magnifica is an old model of Delonghi so it’s justifiable as to why the design is outdated. However, you still cannot compare the Magnifica’s overall design and ease of use to the Delonghi Dinamica.
Has no digital display: Most budget-friendly or entry level machines lack a digital display so I’m not surprised that this machine lacks one. This can make the machine feel less luxurious and you should consider another machine if a digital display is needed.
Grinder can be quite noisy: One thing about the Delonghi Magnifica is that the grinder is quite noisy as it is an older grinder model. So you may want to make your morning espresso shot once everyone is awake.

Verdict: DeLonghi Dinamica Plus Review
Strong mid-range machine
The Upgrades Everyone Wanted
LatteCrema Milk Frothing System
Color touchscreen display
Coffee Link app
Tons of adjustable settings
Easy to clean
Pot function is disappointing
Limited user profiles
Having reached the end of my DeLonghi Dinamica Plus review, I can say I feel the same as I did before. So, if you’re looking for a DeLonghi machine and don’t already own the Dinamica, your decision is easy: buy the DeLonghi Dinamica Plus!
I do hold that super automatic espresso machines like the Jura Z10 or Miele CM 6360 are superior to the Dinamica Plus, but these are also considerably more expensive. And sure, I’ve reviewed a bunch of very cool Gaggia espresso machines lately. Still, the DeLonghi Dinamica Plus is still the best mid range automatic espresso machine available at the moment.
Do you have the DeLonghi Dinamica Plus in your kitchen or office? Do you use the DeLonghi Coffee Link app or do you prefer to stand at the machine for your perfect latte? I look forward to your comments!
Core Features and Capabilities
At their core, Magnifica Evo and Dinamica are the same. This is why the quality of coffee is guaranteed to be identical to either model.
These are the shared features of both coffee machines.
Brewing Specialties
With DeLonghi Magnifica Evo and Dinamica, you’ll be able to enjoy various brewing specialties. Both espresso machines let you prepare a wide range of coffee drinks, including espresso, cappuccino, and ristretto. The Super-automatic espresso machines’ hot water function also allows you to make beverages like tea and Americano.
Grinding Capabilities
Having a perfect grind is crucial for great-tasting coffee. You’ll appreciate the built-in grinders of both Magnifica Evo and Dinamica. They offer 13 grind settings to cater to your preference, ensuring consistently ground coffee every time.
Both of them have a bypass doser, which allows you to add a scoop of pre-ground coffee to bypass the beans in the grinder. Perfect for an occasional change of coffee, without having to remove the beans in the hopper.
Milk Frothing System
The milk frothing systems on Magnifica Evo and Dinamica are designed to make your life easier, delivering perfectly frothed milk for cappuccinos and other milk-based drinks.
The LatteCrema system is the same on each DeLonghi machine, so you get consistent results from any model.
And if you’re not a frequent milk-based coffee drinker, you’ll be okay with having a steam wand for an occasional cappuccino or a latte.
Customization Options
Customization is key for your perfect cup of coffee, and both Super-automatic espresso machines let you adjust settings to match your tastes. Temperature settings, coffee strength, and beverage size can all be customized, giving you full control over your coffee-making experience.
Size Comparisons
When comparing the DeLonghi Magnifica Evo and Dinamica, you’ll find that both models are designed to be compact, saving space on your countertop.
User Interface
The control panels on both machines are designed with user-friendliness in mind. The Magnifica Evo includes a simple control panel with a few buttons for easy operation. In contrast, the Dinamica features a more modern touch interface, providing a sleek and intuitive way to interact with your machine.
Considering the features of these coffee machines, here’s a comparison of their respective components:
Component | Magnifica Evo | Dinamica |

Water Tank | 60 oz | 60 oz |
Bean Hopper | 8.8 oz | 10.5 oz |
Milk System | Built-in milk system or classic frother | Built-in milk system or classic frother |

Overall, the Magnifica Evo and Dinamica each have their unique strengths in terms of design and build quality. It’s important to consider the design aspects that matter most to you when choosing between these two models.
DeLonghi Magnifica Evo vs Dinamica (LatteCrema Version)
- De’Longhi Magnifica Evo with LatteCrema System, Fully Automatic Machine Bean to Cup Espresso Cappuccino and Iced Coffee Maker, Colored Touch Display,Black, Silver
- 7 ONE-TOUCH RECIPES: 7 one-touch or customized coffee drinks: espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato, iced coffee, coffee, hot water, and My Latte
- PERFECT GRINDING: 13 grind settings means all of your bean varieties are optimally prepared for extraction. The conical burr grinder delivers a precise, consistent dose of freshly ground coffee for all your favorite espresso beverages.
- LATTECREMA SYSTEM: De’Longhi’s proprietary technology textures both milk and milk alternatives and can be stored in the fridge to keep milk fresh when not in use
- PERSONALIZE WITH MY LATTE: Allows you personalize and save your own recipes
- EASY TO CLEAN: Removable and dishwasher-safe parts for easy cleaning
- De’Longhi ECAM35075SI Dinamica with LatteCrema System and LCD Display, Silver

- Built-in conical burr grinder with 13 settings for always freshly ground coffee, for any beans of your choice.
- Automatic and adjustable milk frothing from the proprietary LatteCrema System for perfectly textured lattes and cappuccinos; works with oat, soy and rice milk
- Personalize and save your favorite recipes with My Menu feature.
- Switch between recipes seamlessly with simultaneous frothing, grinding and brewing.
This variation has the automatic built-in frother, which DeLonghi names ‘LatteCrema’. The core features are the same, but the difference is in the coffee menu presets.
Coffee and Milk-Based Coffee Drinks
Now that there’s an automatic milk frother involved, you can make your favorite milk-based coffee drinks with a press of a button.
Magnifica Evo has these presets: Espresso, Coffee, Over Ice, Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, and Hot Water.
Dinamica, on the other hand, has a much more extensive menu that includes ristretto, espresso, lungo, coffee, over ice, latte macchiato, espresso macchiato, cappuccino, flat white, hot water.
All milk-based coffee drinks can be replicated on the Magnifica Evo, but they’re not going to be one-touch like on the Dinamica. You’ll have to manually alter the milk-to-coffee ratios. However, the Dinamica wins this round, for sure.
Controls and Display
The Magnifica Evo uses a similar control panel to its classic frother version with the same colored icons and touch buttons. The difference is in the available presets.
source
The Dinamica, however, gets a whole new upgrade with the addition of an LCD display that makes your experience a breeze. While it still has buttons for quick access to basic coffee drinks, you’ll also find a ‘Drink menu’ button which will activate an additional menu on the screen.
The screen allows you to easily navigate recipes, customize them, and save them. It also gives you access to the machine’s settings.
The display screen on the Dinamica makes it a winner over the Magnifica Evo. You’ll enjoy the ease of use the LCD screen adds to your experience.
Personalization
Both of these models offer personalized coffee drinks. However, the task of customizing and reprogramming is a lot easier on the Dinamica than the Magnifica Evo.
Watch this video on YouTube
On the Magnifica Evo, you’ll find an option named MyLatte. All this option does is draw the entire amount of milk you fill in the frother, bypassing the preset volume of the recipe.
To reprogram a milk recipe on the Magnifica Evo, you’ll have to long-press the icon of the recipe and readjust the volumes step by step.
On the Dinamica, all of this is done using the LCD Display. Once you pick a recipe, the display will show you the strength settings as well as coffee and milk volumes.

Which One To Pick?
It’s clear that I highly prefer the Dinamica LatteCrema version over the Magnifica Evo. While there is a price difference between them, it’s well worth the price.
The Dinamica LatteCrema gives you more coffee drink options and an LCD display that will take your experience to the next level.
The Magnifica Evo is still an excellent machine, and it’s more budget-friendly than the Dinamica. It just takes a few extra steps to do things, and some guesswork to reprogram and customize. If you do pick it over the Dinamica, you’ll still get the same quality of coffee, but a less intuitive experience.
